Arts on Bergen
Saint Peter's University is proud to serve as an environment for artistic exploration and cultivation. Under the guidance of the Jesuit value of cura personalis, we have enjoyed a rich tradition of building community between students, faculty and members of the Jersey City community through the power of music. We see music as common ground, a shared passion among all types of people. Simply put, we can learn about the human experience, and therefore each other, through music.
The Arts on Bergen concert series continues this commitment to music and community. These monthly performances aim to bring enriching musical experiences to the Jersey City community, and in doing so, strengthen the communal bond between Saint Peter’s University and our neighbors. The midday concert series is held at Saint Peter Chapel and the evening concerts are at St. Aedan's: The Saint Peter's University Church. All concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
Arts on Bergen depends on our sponsors to help keep our events free, while ensuring world-class performances. We believe that artists should be compensated for their time and talents, and we are excited to be able to provide stipends for our featured performers. By making a gift, you are directly supporting the rich musical tradition of Saint Peter’s University, and are helping provide opportunities for cultural enrichment for the Jersey City community. Your gift will go to support our general music fund, which serves as the main resource for initiatives like Arts on Bergen. Thank you!
The Office of the Provost, Office of Campus Ministry and the Fine Arts Department are grateful to have your support. We hope to see you at a concert this season!
